What a day! Our students (and staff) had a wonderful time celebrating our school Feast Day 'Mary, Help of Christians' last Friday. Mrs Kyle and Miss Dawson led the team of teachers who organised the day, so a big thank you to everyone involved. The children enjoyed the many activities throughout the day, the yummy sausage sandwiches, as well as the Year 6 verses Teachers relays. The score was 4-4.

We were so are so lucky to have many organisations volunteer to make this day a success. A huge thankyou to the following people and organisations, thank you again for your support:

Bianca Bailey and Anayla Schipp from Cathy Makin Dance, Tim Doyle from O’Grady Drama, Kristy Curran from Liberte Pilates, Rebecca Roast and Mia Heran from BBMA North Lakes, Bailey Ibbett from NSW Touch, Jocelyn Kelleher, Jasmine Wolfe and Lailani Montgomery from the NRL, Nikki Simpson, Tracy Mexon and Ethan Shadbolt-Connors from Hockey NSW, Benjamin Francis, Hannah Stewart and Ella Hutchison from NSW Rugby and Steph Kyle and Mikaedy Sammut from Mackillop Netball.

Semester One Reports and Parent/Teachers Meetings

Semester One Reports will be made available on Compass on Friday 21st June. Parent/Teacher Meetings will take place later this term (June 24th-28th). These are important opportunities to formally meet again with your child's teacher and discuss their learning and progress.

Bookings for all Parent/Teacher Meetings are open, you will be able to book a time from now until Wednesday 19th June. To book a meeting: Please make your appointment through the Compass App, by going to the ‘Conferences’ tab in the menu. From there, find ‘2024 Parent Teacher Meetings, June’, your child’s teacher and then follow the steps.

    Year 4 Excursion

Year 4 enjoyed a wonderful day of learning in Sydney last Thursday. The weather was perfect and the children had fun on their walking tour of The Rocks, supporting their History unit.

    School Phone Number

Just a reminder that our school phone number has changed. Our new number is (02) 7256 2143. Please update this in your phones as many families are not answering our calls.

    First Eucharist

Please keep the many children in Year 4 and above who are making their First Communion this weekend, in your prayers. We hope you are nourished and feel closer to God, through Communion, and this next important step in your Catholic faith. Congratulations, boys and girls.

    Year 6 in Canberra

Our fantastic Year 6 leaders head to the nation's capital next week for a 3 day excursion to learn more about democracy. I have the pleasure of joining Year 6 in Canberra over these 3 days as they visit lots of great places including the War Memorial, Electoral Commision, Parliament House, Dinosaur Museum, AIS and Questacon. We hope you all enjoy this wonderful experience - pack your warmest jumper!

    Debaters

Congratulations to our Year 6 Debating Team, winning their debate against St Brenadan's Lake Munmorah this morning. Their insightful rebuttals and factual, well-researched arguments ensured they convinced the audience that "We should NOT stop selling bottled water". Congratulations, keep it up!

    Year 2 Excursion

We hope Year 2 have a wonderful time this Friday on their excursion to Tocal Homestead.

Combined Family Mass with St Brigid's

Thank you to all our families who attended our first combined Family Mass with St Brigid's. It was wonderful to see the children playing cricket on the oval with our priests, Father Tomy and Father Baby. The 6pm mass was led beautifully by the St Brigid's band. They have some talented musicians. Thank you to Archie and Stella who read beautifully.
