Principal's Update
Welcome back to Term 4. I hope the break was restful for you all. The children have certainly returned with many tales of holiday adventures, but ready for learning in the busy term ahead.
Congratulations
I would like to acknowledge and congratulate Mrs Liz Hartge and Mrs Cath Kyle for their recent appointment as permanent Assistant Principal (AP) and Religious Education Coordinator (REC) to our school. Liz and Cath have been in these roles in a temporary capacity in recent years. Please join me in congratulating them. Please see the attached memo, below.
Crazy Sock Day
This Friday is 'Crazy Sock Day', where we raise money for Catholic Mission. We would like all children to wear bright, loud, mismatched or funny socks on Friday, and bring a gold coin donation. All children should wear their Sports uniform.
World Teacher's Day
Our PIP Team have organised a morning tea for our teachers on Friday 27th October to celebrate World Teachers Day. Please see the attached flyer, below. If you can help supply a plate of food and a memo note of gratitude - LINK: https://signup.com/go/pJEoFpn.
Swimming Program
Our K-1 Swimming Program will begin next month. A letter outlining the details will be sent home to Kinder and Year 1 parents this week. Please return the slip as soon as possible. The swimming program is compulsory for all Kinder and Year 1 students.
Uniform
Thank you to the parents who have ensured that children have returned back to school in the correct uniform, and without bright hair or nails. Please ensure your child is wearing the correct uniform, which includes a school hat, the correct socks (grey with green and yellow line for boys, white ankle socks for girls) and black leather shoes. Sport uniform is white socks and runners that are predominantly white/mixture white and colour. Black running shoes are not part of our school uniform. I appreciate your support in this matter.
Carpark Safety
When using the carpark, please drive slowly. Cars are required to park to drop off children, and no cars should be pulling into the bus bay at any time to drop off or pickup children.
Term 4 Events
We have a very busy term ahead. Last term, our Term 4 calendar was attached to our newsletter. This will also be sent home as a hard copy this week.
Thoughts and Prayers
Please keep the Cincotta family (Liliana, 6 Green) in your thoughts and prayers. Liliana's grandfather passed away recently. We hope your happy memories of times together give you strength during this difficult time.

Sport
Max A - Congratulations on your effort and results at NSW Golf Championships. St Mary's is proud of you!! Last term Max competed in the NSW PSSA State Golf Championships at Batemans Bay. He had an amazing time competing against kids from all over NSW. He was the youngest competitor at the event. His Polding team shot 1 over par and finished 2nd in the overall team scores. He also played some exceptional golf in the individual event. Max had so much fun and we cannot wait for future results.
